2. Notification System for Reducing the Risks of Major Industrial Accidents (BEKRA)

The regulation known as the SEVESO directive has been published in our country as the "Regulation on the Prevention of Major Industrial Accidents and Mitigation of Their Effects" in the Official Gazette dated March 2, 2019, and numbered 30702, in line with Council Directive 2012/18/EU dated 4/7/2012, by the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Services, Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, and the Ministry of Interior.

 

Our facility is subject to the provisions of the Regulation on the Prevention of Major Industrial Accidents and Mitigation of Their Effects, and the hazardous materials handled at our facility have been declared using the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization's Notification System (BEKRA). According to the BEKRA Notification system, our facility is classified as an upper-tier establishment. In accordance with Article 11 of the Regulation on the Prevention of Major Industrial Accidents and Mitigation of Their Effects, our facility has prepared the required Safety Report.

 

3. Activities Carried Out at the Facility:

Dolugaz Depolama LPG Petrol Ürünleri Sanayi ve Ticaret Limited Şirketi Dörtyol Branch is established on a total area of 9,000 m², including both indoor and outdoor spaces. Our facility is a fully integrated LPG distribution, storage, and logistics company operating in the wholesale trade of petroleum and petroleum products (excluding collective stations and terminals). Located in the Dörtyol district of Hatay, the facility conducts unloading, storage, and filling operations for liquefied hydrocarbon gas mixtures. The hazardous material, technically known as liquefied hydrocarbon gas mixture, commonly referred to as LPG, is stored in four above-ground, standard domed cylindrical storage tanks with a capacity of 180 m³ each (340 tons). Hazardous materials are received at our facility via pipeline from neighboring facilities and by road transportation. The dispatch of hazardous materials from our facility is conducted by road transportation in accordance with the Regulation on the Transport of Dangerous Goods by Road and the ADR agreement.

According to the Regulation on the Classification, Labeling, and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures published in the Official Gazette dated December 11, 2013, and numbered 28848:

P2 FLAMMABLE GASES:
H220: Extremely flammable gas.
H280: Contains gas under pressure; may explode if heated.

 

5. Actions to be Taken in Case of a Major Accident:

In the event of a major industrial accident at our facility, an Internal Emergency Plan (DADP) has been prepared for responding to the incident. The DADP outlines the organization, resources, personal protective equipment, damage-reducing reactive measures, and intervention methods. Cooperation with emergency services is ensured.


At least once a year, emergency drills are conducted at our facility to prepare for emergencies. The necessary infrastructure preparations and teams have been established for the Emergency Action Plan and intervention.

In the event of an industrial accident at our facility, the following steps should be taken:

  • Stay away from the accident site.

  • If you are the first to witness the accident and emergency teams have not yet arrived, inform the public authorities by calling the phone numbers listed below.
